Peyton Manning has had quite the football career. He’s gone through ups and downs, and has conquered some of the toughest challenges one will face in the game of football: injury.
In May of 2011, Manning had checked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago for surgery on a herniated disc. He had a tear in the protective ring in his neck that had sabotaged this performance after 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
