Former UFC fighter wants to be “rock” for spine surgery
Nate “Rock” Quarry may be a fierce competitor in the ring, but he’s a softie when it comes to helping others who are suffering from back pain.
Quarry was in the prime of his career as an Ultimate Fighter when he started experiencing pain that was so bad he couldn’t even pick up his daughter. Despite his fears of ruining his career, he opted for a XILF procedure that not only relieved his pain but allowed him to get back in the fighting ring again.
Because of his success, and after struggling through both doubts and fears of what surgery can mean for your future, he has recently been sharing his story with other back patients through various outlets such as The Better Way Back advocacy group, and Camden County College in Blackwood, New Jersey.
